Our Design Philosophy
At the workshop we have all been lucky enough to live in a world where something durable is valued. We have many examples around of objects that are "permanent" and will still be here serving a purpose long after we are gone. We design our guitars as a "platform" because we know that is how a serious player will treat it. Something that grows and maybe even changes with them while being a dependable companion for the long road ahead.
Functional Art
Designing our work is simple..."plain" if you like. That doesn't mean it is easy. We think, talk and argue about the purpose of everything we build and every design decision considers how it will affect the functionality of the final piece. The resultant beauty is just a pleasant byproduct of a series of good decisions.
